Automotive Service Career Pathway

Part of the Transportation Career Pathway, Automotive Service prepares students for future employment within the automotive service industry.

Careers in Automotive Service offer many opportunities for employment and small business ownership.

Courses of Study:

Foundations of Transportation and Logistics I

The beginning course for the Transportation Logistical Pathway. It is also appropriate for students enrolled in any career pathway who plan to own and operate their own businesses. The course will help students build a strong knowledge base and develop skills related to logistics in the transportation sector. Mastery of these standards through project-based learning and leadership development activities of the Career and Technical Student Organizations will help prepare students with a competitive edge for the transportation logistics marketplace.

Transportation Logistical Operations Career Pathway

Electrical/Electronic Systems and Design

The course will help students build a strong scientific knowledge base and develop skills related to electrical and electronics in the logistics and transportation sector.

Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Concepts

This course builds a knowledge base and skills related to heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration in diesel logistics.

Preventative Maintenance Inspection

The course develops skills related to preventative maintenance in the diesel logistics sector. Mastery of these standards through project-based learning and leadership development activities of the Career and Technical Student Organizations will help prepare students with a competitive edge for the diesel logistics marketplace.

Transportation Logistical Support Career Pathway

Chassis System and Design

Helps students build a knowledge base and develop skills related to vehicle chassis systems in
the transportation sector.

Engine Performance Concepts

The course builds a scientific knowledge base related to vehicle engine performance.
